Glaswegian Rab Woods has lived in Argyll for 20 years, soaking up the Gaelic culture and music of his adopted home. He started off as a rock guitarist, he picked up mandolin and multiple other stringed instruments, exploring genres ranging from jazz to traditional European and Americana. A multi instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, lyricist and bandleader, Rab has performed around the world and featured on several recordings.
Janet Lees started playing violin at school, later migrating to the fiddle, immersing herself in Glasgow’s traditional music scene and learning by ear from great players across Scotland and the north east of England. She is a founding member of Corran Raa, collaborator with several percussive dancers through the Sound of Dance project, and has performed at many of Scotland’s well-loved festivals and folk clubs. She was formerly also a member of the Point Five Ceilidh Band and Glaswegian-Breton band Askolenn. Since moving to Argyll in 2022 she has become a regular of the Oban music scene.
A classically trained violinist, Chris Beveridge discovered traditional Celtic music in the pubs of North Wales. She picked up the concertina along the way, and after relocating to Argyll, she added the clarsach (Celtic harp) to her musical quiver. Chris is a star on the Scottish traditional scene, having played around Europe with bands like Canned Haggis, Pigtown Fling and The Cruachan Ceilidh Band.
