Full Day Isle of Mull Tour
Named as one of Lonely Planet’s top spots in Europe to “Go Wild”, the Island of Mull off the coast of Oban is a nature lover’s dream. This 8 -10 hour private day tour takes in world class beaches, castles, beaches, rugged mountainous glens and idyllic wee villages, as we follow the Scottish Chocolate, Cheese, West Coast Whisky and Seafood Trails.
Ferry journey to Craignure
The adventure starts with a 45 minute ferry journey from Oban through the stunning Firth of Lorn on the famous Caledonian MacBrayne line. Full conveniences, meals and a bar are available on board.
13th century Duart Castle, ancestral home of the Clan MacLean, has been featured in film and television, including Entrapment with Sean Connery and When Eight Bells Toll with Anthony Hopkins. Tour the furnished castle, have a tea in the tea room and enjoy the views over the ocean from this spectacular location.
Lochbuie Standing Stones
This enigmatic stone circle is in the most fantastic setting and harkens back to the days of the island's Neolithic ancestors. Inspire your inner Outlander in this mystical mountain and seascape.
Village of Tobermory
The main settlement of Tobermory is a charming and vibrant fishing village hugging the harbour where there is the opportunity to see otters and eagles. The Mull Museum, the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust and the Marine Visitor Centre offer displays and interactive exhibits on the history, geology and wildlife of the island. Tobermory Distillery, established in 1798, it is one of the oldest commercial distilleries in Scotland. Enjoy handmade chocolate and one of Scotland's best fish and chips al freso or a pub meal made of local seafood.
Calgary Bay Beach
Many consider Calgary beach the finest beach in Scotland- if not the UK. It's a wonderful place to relax and take in the views to the neighbouring islands of Coll and Tiree. You may also spot otters, eagles or dolphins. Calgary is Gaelic for ‘The meadow beside the bay’ and it's truly a secret magical spot.
