Weekly 5 star Oban guided walking tours hit the streets again
Imagine Alba kicks off public Oban Guided Walking Tours on 25 June, leaving weekly on Fridays at 2pm from in front of the VisitScotland information centre on the North Pier.
Five star Scottish Tourist Guides Association certified and insured Yellow Badge Guide, Michelle, is excited to be able to open up tours to public again, but only at half capacity for safety and comfort. "With a maximum of six people, these small group tours will allow social distancing while still keeping a personal feel," she said.
Guests will hear about cave peoples, Celtic giants, powerful clans and Victorian entrepreneurs, as well as life in Argyll today, on a relaxed stroll of The Wee Bay. The route is about 1.5 miles and lasts about 1.5 hours. Booking is essential.
Michelle is also offering private tours at your convenience that include an extended route to McCaig's Tower and the Oban Hydropathic Hotel. Cost for these tours is £20 per person, and includes a free children's under 12 ticket with each adult ticket purchased.
"It's been wonderful to welcome visitors to Oban once again," said Michelle. "There are thousands of years of history, rich legends, beautiful architecture, and, of course, spectacular views, and I'm so lucky to be able to share it all with my guests."
The weekly tours cost £15 per person, and tickets are available from EventBrite, TripAdvisor or by contacting us directly at imaginealba@yahoo.co.uk or 07918814581.
